Musician and composer Kieran Daly grew up on a small island off the coast of South Carolina. There he figured out a way to do to a mandolin what the Space Shuttle does to birds caught in its exhaust. He then took his unique form of minimal, electronically-enhanced string playing to Brooklyn, made his name, and split back to the isles of Carolina. With a track dedicated to the porn star Sasha Grey and sounding like John Cage on Ritalin, this is a definite listen.
